Kadoo is headquartered in Washington, DC with offices in Delray Beach, Florida.

Christopher Etesse
CEO and President
Christopher oversees overall company strategy as well as manages the business operations for the company. Christopher is a seasoned executive with over 13 years of executive experience with top software and Internet companies. Prior to Kadoo Christopher was Vice President of Government Solutions for Monster (NASDAQ:MNST), where he was responsible for $9M in annual revenue and the development of three product lines. Prior to Monster, Christopher was an early employee with Blackboard (NASDAQ:BBBB), the leading provider of software solutions to the education industry, where he spent 8 years. At Blackboard, Christopher was responsible for numerous strategic projects including Internationalization, a strategic partnership with Microsoft as well as several mergers and acquisitions. In his last role, he was Vice President of International Consulting where he grew the business from $500K to $5M in annual revenue. Christopher also was Blackboard’s executive sponsor for the company’s active engagement in open standards and specifications and is a published author and active speaker regarding Learning and Technology. Earlier in his career, Christopher was an entrepreneur running a software business, obtaining his Masters as well as teaching Computer Science. Christopher received his Masters in Computer Science as well as a BA in American History from the University of Kentucky.
Daniel Cane
CTO and Vice President of Product Development
Dan is the owner of the Kadoo product vision and overall architecture. He leads product management and development including software engineering, quality assurance and the user experience. A successful entrepreneur, Dan co-founded Blackboard (NASDAQ:BBBB), the global leader in software solutions for the education industry. At Blackboard Dan helped lead the company from a barebones startup, helping raise multiple rounds of investments totaling over $100 million, through an IPO to a public company with annual revenues exceeding $200 million, a market cap of over $1 billion and over 800 employees worldwide. Dan lead the development of Blackboard’s flagship products, the Blackboard Learning System and Blackboard Content Management System, which are used by over 22 million students on a daily basis at over 3,600 institutions in more than 100 countries around the world. The products Dan developed have received numerous awards including the prestigious CODiE award and can be found in the Smithsonian Institution archive. Dan led Blackboard Research and Development initiatives where he developed a number of key patents. Dan received his BA in economics from Cornell University.
Scott Perian
Architect
Scott manages the technical architecture of Kadoo. With 12 years of experience in software development, Scott has successfully shepherded many enterprise software products from inception to delivery. Before coming to Kadoo, he spent nine years as senior software architect for Blackboard, where he was architect of the Community System and Content System products and was a major contributor to the Learning System component. Prior to this, Scott was a researcher in a cardiovascular biophysics laboratory where he authored several published papers. Scott holds both M.A. and B.A. degrees in mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
John Yang
Director of Engineering Infrastructure
John manages the entire Kadoo infrastructure, which he built almost single-handedly. Prior to Kadoo, John was a Senior Network Engineer for Parature, an on-demand customer service software provider. At Parature he was responsible for the datacenter and infrastructure used to provide a 24/7 SaaS solution to over 500 clients. John was also a member of the founding team of CourseInfo while at Cornell University. CourseInfo merged to become Blackboard Inc. in 1998. At Blackboard, John helped launch the ASP division as Engineering Manager and managed infrastructure growth to over 400 clients. John holds a BS in Material Science & Engineering from Cornell University.
