What is a Connection Network?

It is a social network in the sense that a connection network is set up with a community base and profiles, but is an aggregator because it feeds out information for one or more other social networks, communities, rss, blogs, and more.

So, how most social networks differentiate from a connection network? Facebook does have a feed reader, and you can add widgets for your other profiles, but unlike plaxo it is not set up to let you know simply what is going on with all of your profiles and all of your friends' profiles. That is not Facebook's sole purpose, but that is the purpose of sites like Plaxo Pulse and sociable.
