Jobs Networks

What is a Business or Job Network and how does it relate to social media?

Job networks, like LinkedIn, are communities that connect professionals of all industries. Some Business networks are designed for specific industries and these are considered, niche networks. Other Professional communities are built to help people find jobs, freelance gigs, or to show off portfolios. Most of these networks give their users profiles that showcase individuals resumes, portfolios, connect their past employers, offer associates the opportunity to write references, and some let people write notes on what they do professionally and sometimes personally.
