I am the Associate Publisher of Technology for John Wiley & Sons, EMEA. I am always keeping an eye out for new and innovative books and other publishing opportunities - so feel free to pitch me new ideas.

Like many, I learned programming in the 1980s on TRS-80s, Commodore 64’s and my beloved Atari 400. I began my technology career in 1994 as a programmer and consultant for clients that included Universities, hospitals, banks and other financial institutions, and spent most of my time implementing Microsoft solutions.

In 1998 I entered the world of technology publishing and have worked for Macmillan USA (now Pearson,) and managed to work for IDG Books, Hungry Minds, and John Wiley & Sons without even changing offices.

Primarily, this blog is a collection of my thoughts on the changing world of publishing and the impact of the Internet, and disruptive technologies such as “social media” on the more traditional approaches to print and online publishing. However, since it’s my blog I reserve the right to ramble on and on about nothing in particular, point out things that I just think are cool, and even totally geek out on occasion.

I’d love to hear from you, and if you are not a spambot you can reach me via the contact form.
