o Our Social World is for business leaders, PR experts, technologists, investors, and people using blogs1), wikis2) and other online communications tools. It’s about enabling conversations between businesses and their customers using the new tools made possible by the WWW.
* September 17: Podcastcon UK, London
o PodcastCon UK 2005 is the first conference in Europe dedicated to podcasting. The conference will include an exciting combination of presentations, practical sessions and debate on all aspects of podcasting as it moves into its second year.

* September 19-23: Global PR Blog Week 2.0 - online conference

* September 27-28: C2: Connect & Collaborate! Social Networking & Collaboration Inside the Enterprise, New York

o This one-day event is designed to introduce an anticipated audience of 200 business professionals to the tools complementary to blogs: RSS; audio/podcasts; photos, video/vodcasts; and tracking/buzz measurement. Set up as a series of panel discussions, the event will address how these tools can be applied to various business challenges.

o Join executive producer Chris Shipley for BlogOn? 2005 Social Media Summit, the premier executive conference for forward-thinking marketing, communications and media executives who are considering strategic initiatives that leverage social media such as blogs, social networking sites, collaboration tools and syndication feeds.

* October 17-18: International Symposium on Wikis, San Diego (co-located with ACM OOPSLA 2005)
o The 2005 International Symposium on Wikis brings together wiki researchers, implementers, and users for the first time. The goal of the symposium is to find a voice for the community. The symposium has a rigorously reviewed research paper track as well as plenty of space for practitioner reports, demonstrations, and discussions. We are honored to announce that Ward Cunningham, the inventor and host of the original WikiWikiWeb?, will present the opening keynote talk at WikiSym? 2005. He will be followed by Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, speaking on Wikipedia in the free culture revolution.
